Overview
While most .CO extensions are openly available for registration through accredited Registrars, four third-level extensions are restricted and require manual registration through the Registry-supported website.
Restricted Extensions
- .ORG.CO — intended for non-profit and civil society organisations.
- .EDU.CO — intended for educational institutions.
- .MIL.CO — intended for Colombian military entities.
- .GOV.CO — intended for Colombian government entities.
How to Register These Extensions
These extensions are NOT available through the standard EPP system or Registrar Console. They can only be registered manually through the Registry-supported website: https://www.registrocolombia.co/
Registrations may be restricted to specific qualified registrants who meet eligibility criteria defined by the Registry.
Openly Available Third-Level Extensions
By contrast, the following third-level extensions are openly available through standard EPP registration by all accredited Registrars: .COM.CO, .NET.CO, .NOM.CO.

If a customer requests a .ORG.CO, .EDU.CO, .MIL.CO, or .GOV.CO domain, direct them to https://www.registrocolombia.co/ and advise them that eligibility requirements may apply.
